Toddler Bunk Beds

What child doesn’t love a bunk bed? You as a parent can go truly all out in a toddler bunk bed for your wee one.

Regardless of whether your toddler is into Thomas the Train, or she is a princess fan, you can find toddler bunk beds to fit your needs and child’s desires. The only limitation is going to be your wallet and how deep you can dig into it to provide a bed for your child.

A bonus to a lot of the toddler bunk beds you will find is that there is many times a built in bookcase where your child can store not only books but other beloved toys or stuffed animals. Other toddler bunk beds feature built-in dressers on the end of one bed, or drawers under the bottom bed.

Most people think of bunk beds as only being a twin over twin style of beds. Now you can find twin over full and full over full size beds in bunk bed form. You can even get toddler bunk beds that have three beds just in case your have triplet toddlers! (If you do, you have all our prayers!)

When buying a toddler bunk bed there are things to keep in mind to ensure your toddler’s safety and your peace of mind:

Make sure that the top mattress has the proper support system to secure it in place and offers no danger of collapsing.

If your toddler will be sleeping on the top bunk, make sure that there are safety rails to prevent an accidental tumble in the middle of the night, and that the safety rails can be secured in such a way as to prevent it from becoming dislodged during the night by mistake.

Inspect how your toddler will access the top bunk. Even if you are not planning on your child sleeping in the top bunk right away, you still want to make sure that the way to get up to the top bed is safely securable so that it doesn’t come unattached while your child is climbing up. Many toddler bunk beds now have built-in stairs that are part of the bed and even offer a railing for your child to use as they walk up to the top bunk. The other advantage to having built-in stairs is that they often have storage areas under the stairs.

When shopping for a toddler bunk bed, you can find the bed your child wants while making sure that they are going to be safe and secure all night long.
